Good morning! Our Buhler Crusader community is connected with so many different employers and organizations in the community. Your employer or organization may want to consider being a part of All Hands on Deck, a massive professional learning event for all Reno County schools on January 3rd, 2024! For the first time ever, Reno County schools are rallying as a team of educators for a shared professional learning day called All Hands on Deck.  Over 1,100 teachers, Hutchinson Community College instructors, and administrators will be on HCC’s campus on January 3rd, 2024 for a day of workshops, keynote presentations, and networking opportunities.  An integral component of this day is connecting 1,100 area educators with vendors both inside and outside of education.  Vendor options include being a part of our vendor showcase and/or leading presentations for attendees.  Below is a form that interested vendors can complete so that they can be a part of All Hands on Deck. *All Hands on Deck Vendor Form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdDGSXHOq9Ejt8K7jDj4G8iDOpYNMfhy1wD9Ov_fl8DEzD04Q/viewform We have 22 vendors, so far, but have room for up to 10 more! We recently completed purchase of the church building that is to become our new day care facility in Hutchinson. The building came with a number of items we are auctioning off using Gavel Roads, an online auction service. In our PreK programs students play to learn and learn to play! Mrs. Rumbaugh's class at UV is playing with the letter T, sorting fall colors, and playing with Play Doh this morning. The classroom greeter, Ms. Sawyer did a great job welcoming guests! #Bexceptional

On Monday we had the honor of nominating Mrs. Jenna Kimble, 3rd grade teacher at Union Valley, for the Kansas Horizon Award! The Kansas Horizon Award is sponsored by the Kansas State Department of Education and its mission is to recognize exemplary first-year teachers who perform in a way that distinguishes them as outstanding. Mrs. Kimble had an exceptional first year of teaching last year and is an excellent nominee for this award. Congratulations Jenna, and good luck on your application! #Bexceptional

During the regular July BOE meeting, the public survey results were shared with the Board. Buhler Elementary Families, We can't wait to welcome our PreK and Kindergarteners next week! Remember, PreK and Kindergarteners will attend on the following schedule next week. 1st -5th graders come each day. PreK and Kindergarten Schedule: August 21st - Boys Only August 22nd-Girls Only August 23rd - All students attend

Hello! We made an error in our message regarding students attending at PHMS and BHS tomorrow. 6th graders and freshman will attend, PLUS all NEW Buhler students in grades 6-12. Sorry for the confusion!

We are so excited to see our students tomorrow! See the images for open house times at our elementary buildings and school start/dismissal times. Tuesday and Wednesdays this week are 2 hour early release days. Tuesday will be only PHMS 6th graders, BHS Freshmen, and any NEW 6-12 students with all students attending on Wednesday. PreK and kindergarten students will NOT attend this week. Boys only in those grades will attend Monday the 21st, girls only on Tuesday the 22nd, with all students attending Wednesday the 23rd. Here's to an EXCEPTIONAL school year!
