Special arrangements may be made to meet a district pus at a predetermined stop and be transported to school. Permission will be granted and arrangements made to drop a student off at a location other than their home in the evening provided (1) it is in the attendance boundary. (2) It is on a regular basis, and (3) the schedule is approved by the transportation director at the beginning of the school year or at the time of enrollment. These requests can be made during the online enrollment process at the beginning of the school year.
Most Pre-K students will be transported on a large bus. There are typically no seat belts on these buses.
The average normal time spent on a bus can vary, but for the AM/PM routes is approximately 15 to 30 minutes.
Routes are designed to create the safest possible pick up and drop off situations. Door side is preferred to keep students away from traffic.
With younger students it is preferred that a parent walk them to and from the bus or have a walking buddy.

The driver may assign a seat to each student.
Students must be on time. It is helpful to the driver, if you can open a front door, ect.. to signal your student is on the way.
Buses will not enter or deliver in private driveways or lanes, except under unusual circumstances.
Students must not try to get on or off the bus or move about within the bus while it is in motion. (Safest place for a student is sitting in their seat)
Students must not at any time extend arms or heads or throw objects out the windows.
Consumption of food, beverages and chewing gum on buses are not permitted. Water bottles are allowed.
Riding a school bus is a privilege and is determined by the students behavior. Good behavior is expected. Violation of bus rules will result in suspension of bus riding privileges. The driver is in charge of the bus and students are expected to cooperate with the driver.
