Buhler Public Schools seeks to provide our students with experience using a wide variety of current technologies throughout their time here. This includes access to laptops, tablets, robotics, green screens, 3D printing, and more. In addition to accessing digital curriculum, these technologies allow students to practice creativity, problem solving, and communication in a variety of ways. Students are taught online safety at our schools through digital citizenship lessons and all internet access at our schools is filtered in compliance with the Federal Children’s Internet Protection Act.
As of the 2019/2020 school year we provide a Samsung Chromebook laptop to each student in grades 9-12, and an iPad for students in grades 3-8. 6th - 12th graders are allowed to take their device home to use, provided they continue to follow the expectations outlined in the documents below.
The Buhler USD 313 internet filter does NOT extend into the home when devices are there. Families can consult with their internet provider or research home internet filtering options.
Parents should be aware of both the Parent Technology agreement and the Student Acceptable Use Policy below. Each student must have one on file prior to using any district technology.
